If you support a family member, friend, or neighbour who could not manage without your help, you are an unpaid carer. A carer can be any age. You might help with daily tasks, personal care, or emotional support. You do not need to live with the person to be their carer.
This library brings together short videos that may help you in your caring role. These videos sit alongside a wide range of support that is here for you.
There are dedicated services for carers in both the BCP and Dorset Council areas. Each area has a main service with friendly carer advisors who offer advice, guidance, training, peer groups, the carers card, and carer assessments when needed.
You can explore all the support available at Carers – Our Dorset on the Our Dorset website.
